Research interests
My research interests include the conservation biology, ecology, and systematics of amphibians and reptiles. I am working with undergraduate students concerning movements and habitat use of the redbelly watersnake (Nerodia erythrogaster) at the Pee Dee Research and Education Center which is an experimental farm owned by Clemson University. We are using radiotelemetry to quantify how much terrestrial habitat this species uses. The redbelly watersnake should be an important organism for the biological delineation of terrestrial buffer zones around wetlands.
